{ Letter c }

I just love it when we leave a paper trail and pack in some learning progress.

This week we did the letter { c }.

{ c } is for car.

Find the { c }.

{ c } is for cat.

Some initial sound recognition.

{ c } is for cat.

Nothing better than catching photos random, on the spur of the moment, unseen.
I peeked out the kitchen window to find this outside:

{ Week 16 }

Some good news, and some bad news.

The bad news:  I had started my blog post for today earlier in the week.  I even popped in some really nice photos and started chit chatting about them but then, during the week my computer went cactus.  In the absence of my computer I decided to continue working on my post on hubbies computer and that's when the really bad news happened.  I accidentally bumped something on the keyboard and wiped my post clean.  So now I'm starting again.  Oh, and I couldn't just pop the photos back in either because well, they were wiped with my computer too.

The good news:  My computer is back up and running.  I am also now relocated to my desk in the front room.  And the best news this week:  I managed to get a new post done.

Ummmm, I gave the assignment and hoped for the best.

Don't ask me what was in her mind, I have no idea, but it ended up with a lot of words on the page.

Chloe and Charlotte found some time for painting.

The girls got to make a scene for Cinco De Mayo day - even though my children have NO idea that it is just a party day to celebrate some Mexican war against the French, on the 5th of May no less, hence it's given name.

Chloe turned double digits!

Noah graduated to size 0 clothing.

I've been really busy working on some cvc workbooks and what nots too.  So far I've managed to get { a } and { e } done.  They're quite meaty - both up to 42 pages now.  I'm quite pleased with the format and content.  Especially since I managed to get a good selection of worksheets and printables in them.

And for fun, since I like sharing, just click to download.  :o)

It comes out of this book:

I'll see you tomorrow with some more printables.  :o)

Aesop Fables

Want to know what little extras we'll be working on this week and next?

Another new book from me.

There are 9 days worth of work inside { I only need nine days worth, after that we'll be on holiday }.  Four copy work passages, four vocabulary pages, and five creative writing pages.  I also added a matching secondary writing page in case they need the extra space for writing.

We'll start off with some reading, vocabulary, and copy work on day one.

Then the next day we'll do the creative writing component.  It's basically a re-tell / narration asking for more details and dialogue.

Then we'll just rotate through the remainder of the fables in the pack until they are done.

I double sided printed the creative writing worksheet with some more lines/clipart etc.... just in case they needed more room for their writing.  It looks really good.

Feel free to pop over to my TpT store to find out more.  It is currently on sale for only $1.00.  Bargain, if I do say so myself.

Thanks for visiting.

Farm Animals - Interactive Notebooks

I have been BUSY,  very B.U.S.Y!

This afternoon Hannah was also busy, trying out my busy.  I thought that it came out pretty good, considering her attempt was done unassisted.  So, would you like to see our "busy"?

Interactive Notebook on a Bird.

So, what do you think?

It came out of one of my new books:

I've got it on super sale at the moment since it's super new.
It is currently listed for only $1.00 { which seems ridiculously too low in my humble opinion. }

Just click the cover to go to my TpT store to get more information on it.

Edited to add:

I went and upgraded the book { and the others in the series } to include worksheet versions as well, since I think that would be very useful!  So now the pack is 40 pages and currently still set at $1.00.  I can't wait for the girls to do a whole heap.

The worksheet version { note taking }.
Just have the child write down "key" words.
The worksheet version { writing }.
Each "key" word becomes a sentence or two.
I also added blanks and a secondary writing page for those little writers who discover that writing isn't so hard after all, and that they've been super star book authors all along.

Butterfly Hats and Baa Baa Black Sheep Bracelets.

Writing the letter { b }.

A variety of worksheets.

Letter { b } recognition.

{ b } is for buttons.

{ b } is for butterfly.

First we have to paint the leaf, and colour the butterfly.

Then we tape the butterfly to the leaf, with it's wings open so that it can flap.

We also took the girls out to the local Gymkhana on the weekend.

Charlotte on a pony.

{ b } is for bee.

Here's a few worksheets to help with your letter { b }.

Just click each one separately to download.
