Super Sunday SALE~!!!

Just a quick little post to let you all know I'm having a SALE~!!

I don't know why they're having a sale over at TpT but it has something to do with a thing called 'The Superbowl'.  I think it must be really, really, really BIG in America.

Either way it sounded like a good idea since I rarely do sales because my work is mega cheap already.

So if there's anything that you've been wanting but needed a little encouragement to get, pop over and grab yourself some even bigger bargains.  :o)

Hay, and don't you just love this gorgeous graphic for the sale?  My friend Brooke made it.

Groundhog Printables

Groundhog Day - February 2nd.

We don't do Groundhog Day here in Australia, BUT I thought that I could still read a beautiful non-fiction book on Woodchucks on Feb. 2nd.

A living book on the life cycle of a Woodchuck:

Easy to read, informative, engaging.

One of my very favorite books from my shelves.  I can't wait for Feb. 2nd.

For those that do: I have 2 different files for you.  One is a day pack and the other is some writing paper.

You'll have to click on the samples separately to download them.

Art Bat Drawing

One of the things that I love about homeschooling is that we have the freedom and flexibility to do totally random themes whenever we like.

Art this week consisted of drawing a Bat and coloring with oil pastels.

Weekend Magnolia Card

While we sat and finished off listening to a video I made this card this morning.

Tildas wings got plenty of glitter.

 One of my newest stamps.

So nice to be able to just relax on the weekends.

Bible Saturday

This week the girls were busy with:

and

Here's a little quick peek into the girls mini New Testaments that they are making.  They basically get a photocopied mini book printout where they have to color, and cut out.  What we do is cut off some of the words from the story and they use that to copy into their exercise books.

Week 4

Wow, can you believe we have gotten to the end of Week 4 already?

Today I'm going to start off by sharing a photo of my little cutie patootie Charlotte.  I can't believe how quickly she is growing.  We've moved her out to the big girls room now.  She is a total DREAM when it comes to bed time.  I just pop her in her cot and she puts her thumb in her mouth and rolls over comfy and goes to sleep without a problem.

During the day she's a full on explorer, climber, pencil tooting toddler.  She LOVES trying to draw with pencils.  She spends her day getting into all sorts of things.

This week we had our noses in this book { so we could work on our Bat theme }:

I posted a FREE Bat Day Packet earlier in the week so if you need some extra worksheets for a Bat theme don't forget to have a quick peek for that.

The girls also made a bat each from Lita Lita { I bought her Bat pack }:

Chloe did an experiment for Science with celery and food coloring. These photos were taken not long after we started.  You should see how RED they ended up.

I also had Chloe use these for activity time this week:

Phebe started up some serious phonogram review under the title of spelling like this:

And here's what I had Phebe doing for activity time this week:

I had a third set as well for numbers 31-40 as well.

I also had her add these spelling rule cards to her stash:

For our little rambunctious 3 year old going on 30, I had her count up to 30.

I hoped you enjoyed some of my highlights from this week.  I'm going to save their Bible, Art and History for separate posts.

Penguin Masks and Chart

Like a lot of things at my house it takes us a while to cycle through things thoroughly.  Always lots to do, not enough time though.

Here's some additional Penguin work that the girls had their hands on.

Penguin Masks.  We tried adding the beaks but that proved to be more troublesome than without, so they didn't last long.

They were a hit though and kept the girls interested for an afternoon.  :o)

Today we had these out:

The idea is to make a nice long poster ( 3 x A4 landscape ) of different types of Penguins.  It's a color by code.  The girls started, but haven't finished yet.

I got these from a Scholastic book that only cost me $ 1.  Yep,  bargain right?  You should see what else is in the book.  We shall be having more Penguin projects for a while yet.  :o)

The one I've got for show and tell here is Hannahs.
